Rice Planting (June 1st)

Here is an invitation letter to international students from Hirakawa-no Kaze-no Kai.
You are invited to experience Japanese agricultural culture “Rice Planting” on Saturday, June 1st.
The schedule will be as follows;
Timeline:
9:30am Come to the entrance of International house at Yamaguchi University.
*You can use a bicycle and go to the field.
*Rice field is near Mr. Itaya’s apartment. You can go there directly if you know the place.
*Female students can wear a traditional costume. You will change your clothes before Shinto ritual with our help if you want.
10:00am Shinto ritual
10:30am We will plant rice seedlings.
13:00 Lunch
14:30 Clean up
Fee: JPY500 for overseas students
JPY200 for kids/over 3 years old.
JPY600 for students
JPY1,000 for staffs/adults
*Be prepared to work in a muddy field, either barefeet or wearing old shoes, wearing work clothes and bringing 2 towels and a hat is advised.
