The Main Points from the Governor’s Message on August 25th, 2021 regarding efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19

- Notice
Due to the delta variant, a record number of cases are being seen in areas not only declared a state of emergency or a quasi-state of emergency, and there are no signs of the nationwide spread slowing down.
Yamaguchi Prefecture has been taking ‘intensive measures against the spread of the delta variant’ from August 13th, but even after the Obon holiday, there have been clusters linked to dinner parties. With the situation in Yamaguchi worsening, the prefecture entered stage 4 as the strain on hospitals are increasing.
To mitigate the further spread of the virus, and to avoid a disruption of the medical care institution, we ask for the understanding and cooperation from the residents of the prefecture on the following points.
Intensive Measures against the spread of the Delta Variant
Time Frame: Until September 12 (Sunday)
Stop the resurgence of the virus in Yamaguchi by taking these intensive measures!
◎ Please refrain from traveling between prefectures
⇒Please especially refrain from traveling between Fukuoka and Hiroshima!
◎ Decrease going out by 50%
⇒Please refrain from unnecessary shopping and meetings!
⇒Please refrain from going out to eat after 8pm!
◎ Thorough infection prevention measures
⇒ Practice thorough hand washing and sufficient ventilation!
⇒ Dinner parties should be with small numbers and for a short amount of time
Refrain from dinning and meeting with people other than those you usually are with!
