The 26th International Seminar of Budo Culture (2014)

This seminar, aimed at foreign budo practitioners who live in Japan, and japanese practitioners designed to deepen the understanding of historical philosophic and scientific aspects of budo to increase our mutual friendship and internationalize our traditional culture.
This seminar will also teach the theories and techniques of budo.

Criteria for Participation

(1) Participants must be over 18 years of age, resident in Japan, be practising Budo with at least the rank of Shodan, and be able to communicate in Japanese or English as these will be the languages in which instruction is given.
(2) Japanese participants should be over 18 years of age, be able to speak English at conversational level, and at least hold the rank of Shodan in a Budo art. In principle he or she should be recommended by an affiliate organisation of the Japanese Budo Association.
(3) In principle, participants should be recommended by the head of their Budo association or club.

Number of participants

(100 non-Jpanese.and 20 Japanese In principle,first time participants will be given preference if the number of applicants exceeds the limit.)

The organizers will be responsible for accommodation and meals during the seminar at the designated accommodation facility.
Participants must pay their own travel expenses.
