Request to the residents and businesses of Yamaguchi (December 21st,  2020)

　The number of COVID-19 cases have been increasing at an alarming rate nationwide and outbreaks of infections have occurred in Yamaguchi as well, so the future situation is completely unpredictable.

　As we approach the new year, dinner parties and travel are expected to increase. Therefore, it is necessary for us to pay our upmost attention and take measures to prevent further spread.

　I would like to ask the residents and businesses of this prefecture for your cooperation and understanding in the following points to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

<Points to make note of regarding travel to your hometown etc.>

・Please carefully consider all travel to areas with rapid increases in cases.

・For the two weeks before returning home or traveling, please manage your physical condition and act carefully, such as refraining from going out to high risk facilities and dinner parties. If you are not feeling well, please refrain from returning home.

・If you experience symptoms of suspected infection such as fever or cough after returning home, immediately contact the consultation center or the special consultation desk of the municipality to see a medical institution.

・Please strongly advise family members, relatives, and friends who are considering returning to or traveling to this prefecture to take precautions when returning home.

<Points to consider for going out and travel between prefectures during the holidays>

・When going out such as visiting a shrine, please refrain from going to crowded areas and take thorough infection prevention measures.

・If you are traveling between prefectures, please make sure to pay attention of the situation of your destination and take all possible measures to prevent infection.

<Infection prevention measures at restaurants>

・When talking, please wear a face mask and take extra measures such as avoiding large groups and long hours at restaurants which are considered high risk situations. Please go to restaurants with COVID-19 safety stickers or restaurants that take measures to mitigate the spread of the virus.

・For businesses such as restaurants, please re-enforce the infection prevention guidelines outlined for each industry.
