Request to the citizens and companies of Yamaguchi Prefecture
August 23,2020
Since having confirmed a case of COVID-19 for the first time in 2 months on July 15th, the number of cases has been increasing. There were 28 cases confirmed this week showing the tendency of increase.
In addition, the most recent cases spread at restaurants that offered entertainment.
Again, to mitigate the spread of the virus, I would like to ask for your cooperation in wearing masks and taking thorough preventative measures.
In addition, I would like to ask for businesses to thoroughly follow the guidelines placed by each industry through the municipalities and related organizations. To the citizens, I ask for you to take extra precautions when holding business dinners at restaurants and continue to practice the ‘New Lifestyle Example’ and avoid places with the 3C’s (closed spaces, crowded places, and close-contact settings).
