The Japanese government will conduct the census as of October 1, 2025. The census is the most important statistical survey, conducted once every five years. The results of the census are used for measures such as community development that facilitate life in Japan for foreign residents.
The census covers all individuals who have lived, or plan to live, in Japan for at least three months, regardless of their nationality. Everyone covered by the census is legally obligated to respond, so please be sure to respond.
Please submit your response by October 8 (Wednesday).
