21st Annual Japanese Speech Contest for Foreigners-A Call for Contestants

  • 公開日:2010年07月20日

In order to better understand how Japan (Yamaguchi) is seen from the perspective of a non-native and to help spread information about various countries to the people of Yamaguchi, the Yamaguchi Prefectural Chapter of the United Nations Association of Japan is hosting the 21st Annual Japanese Speech Contest for Foreigners. In addition, this speech contest will help in the development of those who wish to work to spread internationalization and international cooperation, to create a sense of mutual understanding between the people of the prefecture and residents from abroad and to serve as a ground for international exchange.

Contestants will draw on their observations and thoughts from the workplace, classroom or daily life as residents within the prefecture to answer the question of how their own country differs from Japan (Yamaguchi) in regards to culture, values and practices. Using this material, they will share their opinions and experiences within a speech written in Japanese.

We look forward to your applications!
